The second international break drew to a close on Tuesday night as Jesús Navas, Dabbur and Pozo all featured for their countries. In this week of matches, where ten players went on international duty, Sevilla players managed to clock up five goals, a huge positive to take as domestic football returns this weekend.

The quintet of goals were shared out between the strikers Dabbur and De Jong (Chicharito was not called up owing to Mexico only selecting players from the Mexican League), and winger Lucas Ocampos, who has had a dream come true with Argentina this week as he made his debut. On Wednesday, the man from Quilmes came off the bench to make his debut, and then scored the equaliserHis second match brought his first international start, and he scored the final goal in a 6-1 win over Ecuador.

The highlights of the break were Ocampos scoring on his debut, Dabbur scoring a brace and De Jong helping to complete a comeback

Another brace came from Munas Dabbur in Tuesday night's match against Latvia. The Israelis won 3-1 thanks to two goals from Dabbur, scoring the opener and then making it 3-1 with a classy chipDabbur started, as he did in the other match against Austria. He was brought off on 84 minutes after a top performance, and all three points for his side.

Previously, on Thursday 10th, Luuk de Jong secured a win for the Netherlands against Northern Ireland after they had gone behind. The strikers came off the bench for Dumfries, and scored the vital second goal for the Oranje to secure the comeback, and the result keeps them top of their EURO 2020 qualifying group.

In conclusion, some very good numbers from some of our first team players, and fruitful too as Spain have secured qualification for EURO 2020 with Jesús Navas and Reguilón in the squad. Now it is time for domestic football to take centre stage, with the visit of Levante UD on Sunday at 21:00 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
