Sevilla FC's captain, Sergio Escudero, spoke to the media after the defeat away to APOEL, a match which brought up his 150th game in a Sevilla shirt: "I'm delighted on this front, it's a huge honour. However, I would have preferred to have brought that number up with a win".

Despite the defeat, the left-back said that they had chances to win the game today: "We lost but we had chances to win the game. There were a few points in the game which could have turned out differently. The penalty was a turning point, they started to push higher and their goal, from the set piece, changed the game. We kept on trying but it just wasn't to be".

The team will find out their opponents for the Round of 32 on Monday: "We're looking forward to the draw, and we know that no matter who we get, it'll be a tough game. We have to approach it with determination and motivation".

To finish off, Escudero underlined all the support he has had throughout his 150 Sevilla games: "Everyone has been with me every step of the way, from my teammates, to the coaching staff, to the medical team and of course, the fans. It's an honour to bring up 150 games, and I hope there's many more".
