Sevilla FC's players don't seem to stop reaching milstones at this moment in time. After not so long ago when it was the turn of Mudo Vázquez to play his 150th match for the Nervión outfit, now it's the turn of Sergio Escudero who, after playing in the match away to APOEL FC, brought up match number 150 in the Sevilla FC jersey.

Committment, dedication and sacrifice. These are the values that Escudero has brought to the club since his arrival during the 2015/16 season. He has also been one of the captains of the club for three consecutive seasons, wearing the armband in the Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona in 2018. Escudero brings up match number 150; however, this could have been more but for an injury he suffered last season which led to some amount of time on the sidelines.

92 games in La Liga, 17 in the Copa del Rey and 41 games in European competitions

Breaking down the numbers, our number 18 began by playing 28 games during the 2015/16 season, which progressed to 37 games the following season under Jorge Sampaoli. During the 2017/18 season, he played in 45 games which is his best return to date; and played 31 games last season. Against APOEL, Escudero has now played nine games this season. Breaking down each competition, Escudero has played 92 in La Liga, 41 in European competitions and 17 in the Copa del Rey.

Over the course of his 150 games, Sergio Escudero has managed to score five goals and provided thirteen assists; and there's no doubt that Escudero has still a lot to do and accomplish in a Sevilla jersey.
