Toni Payne's Nigeria have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games following victory against South Africa in the final qualifying round. Nigeria had the advantage after the first leg with a 1-0 win in Abuja; Payne played the majority of the second half. They then managed a 0-0 draw in the second leg to confirm their Olympic Games qualification - the first time in 16 years. This time Payne came on in the 57th minute, replacing former Sevilla FC Women player Uchenna Kanu.

On the other hand, Czechia captain Klára Cahynová did not have a successful international break. Her Czech side started their UEFA Women's EURO 2025 campaign with two losses against Denmark and Spain. Cahynová started both games but could not prevent her side from losing 3-1 in both games, despite taking the lead against World Champions Spain.

Diana Gomes featured for Portugal in their 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina but did not play as Portugal overcame Malta 2-0 away from home. Inma Gabarro and Maria Pérez both started for Spain Under-23s in an away game against Belgium, but lost 1-0 in a tight game.
