Sevilla Atlético, the team with the best home record in the league following seven consecutive victories at the Estadio Jesús Navas, stay at the top of the table following a 1-1 draw against Vélez CF. Having conceded for the first time this season at home, Ramón Martínez equalised in the 82nd minute in a game that Jesús Galván's side felt that they had done enough to take all three points.

The reserves dominated the first half, controlling possession and patiently trying to break Vélez's defensive line. The first chance of the game fell to Isaac Romero, but he shot over the bar. Oso then had an effort with forced the visiting keeper into action. His shot came from a free kick, in which Álex Portillo was booked for taking out Isaac as he rushed towards the box. It was not a great tackle to say the least, no intention to play the ball whatsoever. A different referee may have produced a different colour card.

Soon after the break, the away side took the lead through Gastón to break the streak of seven consecutive clean sheets at the Jesús Navas. The reserves looked for an instant response, but Isaac's powerful effort was saved by Alfonso Liceras in the Vélez goal. They kept pushing and thought that they had found an equaliser through Capi, but his strike was ruled out for offside.

Ramón Martínez equalised with less than 10 minutes left on the clock

Despite being denied by the linesman's flag, Jesús Galván's side did not give up and were finally rewarded for their efforts. The equaliser came when Bakary's pin-point cross found Ramón Martínez on the edge of the six yard box, whose diving header left the keeper no chance. Sevilla Atlético came very close to finding a late winner. First, Liceras produced an impressive double save to deny Capi and then Bakary, before producing a miraculous save to deny Hormigo right at the end of normal time. Despite their dominance, the reserves had to settle for a point, which does keep them at the top of the table, four points ahead of Yeclano Deportivo. Their next fixture is away against UCAM Murcia.
