During our LaLiga EA Sports Matchday 24 victory against Atlético de Madrid, we celebrated the Chinese New Year. We wanted to celebrate alongside our fans in China following the arrival of the Year of the Dragon last Friday.

The players wore a special commemorative t-shirt when walking out onto the pitch which included our motto 'Never Surrender' in Mandarin. They were also accompanied by children from the Chinese Culture Centre in Seville. In addition, the 'Asociación de comerciantes chinos en Andalucía' (the Association of Chinese Workers in Andalusia) were invited to watch the match and our club president, José María del Nido Carrasco, presented Lin Ke, president of the association, with a personalised replica match shirt.

José María del Nido Carrasco said "China remains one of our key targets within our international strategy plan and so far things are going well there. We are the club with the fourth most followers on social media after Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid and we were the club with the biggest growth on Weibo, the most popular social media platform in China, during 2023. We are very proud of what we have achieved so far. We wish you all a Happy New Year and hope that it will be a great one!"

"We are very familiar with the club, it is well-known throughout China and worldwide. I hope that this Year of the Dragon brings about plenty of growth for Sevilla FC," stated Lin Ke.
