VACLÍK: 'OUR FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON WAS EXCELLENT'

The goalkeeper, happy with his first year at the club, rued the errors committed in the second half of the season

Tomas Vaclík attended the media following Saturday's win against Athletic Club and admitted that the end of the season had been 'difficult. The other results didn't go our way. We've finished sixth and we're in the Europa League. Our objective was the Champions League but it proved too much.'

'Our season started earlier than anyone else's, we've played almost 60 games. Our first half of the season was excellent but, after Christmas, it was really difficult for us. We conceded a lot, lost away from home a lot... We have to improve for next season,' he added.

Speaking personally, Vaclík believes this first year 'has been a wonderful experience.'
