The international expansion of the Sevilla FC brand is undeniable. After their many successes in recent years, and with thanks to the growth of Spanish football in general, the club has stopped being just a team that is known locally or nationally, as it is now gaining the interest from all around the world. Where not so long ago, it was no other than the New York Times who published an article on the recent history of Sevilla FC; now it is the turn of the 'Times of India'.

This isn't just any old newspaper, it happens to be the most widely read English language newspaper in the world - with it also being published in the USA and Great Britain. Thisn Thursday, they published interviews they carried out with two of the most important figures, in a sporting sense, in the club right now - one with the coach, Julen Lopetegui, and another with the Sporting Director, Monchi.

In the interview with Lopetegui, he spoke of his career path of late and made it clear that this opportunity he has now with Sevilla FC, is one where he and the team can achieve major things. As for Monchi, he explains the business model of the organisation and that behind the scenes, there is a network of people who give so much to the club in order to make it a success. In addition, Monchi talked about the bright future ahead for Indian football: "We are developing a plan to help us grow on an international scale. Of course, one of the markets which we would like to focus on is in India. In India, there are a lot of fans, and we are exploring options into how we might get ourselves involved in different agreements and business deals over there".
