GUDELJ SETS A RECORD WITH HIS PASSING AGAINST LEVANTE

Nemanja Gudelj went into the enforced league break in the best form he had been in since his arrival at Sevilla last summer. He may well have started the season relying on appearances in the Europa League and the Copa del Rey, but the Serbian international has forced his way into the starting XI and everything he did indicated that he would become a starter, especially after Fernando picked up an injury.

In this aspect, coronavirus changed everything, and everything went up in smoke. However, what is clear that, despite being suspended for the derby due to picking up a 5th yellow card, he was available for Monday's trip to Levante and put in a stellar performance alongside Banega and Jordán in the midfield. 

He passed most often to Koundé in La Nucía on Monday

In fact, Gudelj was one of the six players who played the full 90 minutes at the Camilo Cano in La Nucía, and set a new record which no LaLiga player has beaten this season. Gudelj completed all 57 of his attempted passes - no player with a 100% passing accuracy in a match this season had completed so many passes. 

His passes went to Koundé (16), followed by Diego Carlos (12) and Joan Jordán (10). The remaining passes went to Escudero (6), Jesús Navas (4), Banega (4), Fernando (3), Munir (1) and Reguilón (1).
