Lucas Ocampos is in good goalscoring form. The Argentinian, who hasn't quite been able to match his goalscoring exploits from his debut season in Nervión, has scored three goals in the last four Sevilla games. He scored against Osasuna, Lille and Alavés, only failing to score in the Gran Derbi in the Villamarín, in which he assisted his compatriot Marcos Acuña. The Argentinian attacker therefore has reached 28 goals since he arrived in Nervión in the summer of 2019.

It is worth remembering that Ocampos reached 100 official games as a red and white player very recently, a number that increased to 104 following the game on Saturday against Alavés. During this time, Lucas has now managed to overtake the number of goals he scored for his old club, Olympic Marseille. Interestingly, in the south of France, he scored one less than currently at Sevilla, but with the important distinction that to achieve this, he needed 28 games more. That is to say, he pulled on the Olympic Marseille shirt on 132 occasions to reach the same number of goals.

Another example of the good form that Ocampos is in is that while riding high in the league, with two thirds of La Liga as well as all of the Copa del Rey ahead, he's scored the same number of goals as he did in the whole of last season. Last season he managed three from open play, one in La Liga and two in the Copa del Rey, to which a total of five can be added from the penalty spot, four in La Liga and one in the Super Cup against Bayern. With his three goals this season, Ocampos is level with En-Nesyri and Rakitic and only behind Rafa Mir and Lamels, who are on four.
