Nolito, who was again named among the starting XI in the win over Valladolid, showed his happiness in the mixed zone after the game: "There's a first time for everything. We're happy because it was a complicated game, and nobody had won here this season. We could have scored another one but unfortunately we didn't. However, we're happy as we achieved our objective which was the get the three points. Each game is a battle and we're very happy".

"I wanted to chip it. It wasn't coming at me overly fast. I saw Masip coming out and I wanted to lift it over him. We must keep working. I hope I can continue playing and scoring goals, but I'm delighted with the win which was vital, and also for the team", Nolito said after explaining his failed attempt on goal.

Nolito recognised that "there wasn't much calmness in the game, which is what I spoke to Fernando about. They wanted to play at their own pace and we needed the breaks in the game to open up and play, which we know how to do. These are the circumstances you find yourself in sometimes and we took home three very important points".

"It takes a lot to win both away from and at home. Every game in La Liga is hard to win as every team brings something else to the table. You best not sleep or else you'll get taken away by the current. Now we turn our attentions to another week of football. This has to be left behind because if you take your foot off the pedal, you'll get swallowed up. You can't afford to rest".

Nolito said that inside the squad, they aren't focusing on the table: "We're only looking at the next game. We neither get caught up in the criticism when we play badly, nor the praise when we play well. If we start getting ahead of ourselves, teams will punish us".
