Pablo Machín, Sevilla FC's manager, attended the media in the run-up to Sunday's game against Eibar. The manager began by referring to the return of injured players: 'They're back out onto the pitch now and we're now able to train with more players than we had been. We still need a bit more time for them to complete their recovery and to train as normal with the group. Gnagnon and Gonalons are taking a bit more time, although Max is feeling really good; Munir and Jesús Navas are coming along really well in their recovery. We will evaluate things in tomorrow's session which will be a bit more intense.'

'We must try and win every game. We are not happy with the form we are in and we have to change that, we'll have our fans supporting us and we usually play very well here. We will go for the three points which we really want. You're always disappointed when you lose and we were really hopeful over the Vigo match. Sometimes things don't go as you plan and, having seen the game, we have analysed it with the players. Analysing always helps you improve. We could have been more clinical and fluid in our play. We also analyse things when we win, we can always improve. What has got us here is clear and we can't move away from it, we have to keep doing what we were doing well and look to improve,' explained Machín ahead of Sunday's game.

'We are going to stick to our plan, that's what has got us here'

Regarding the line-up, the coach said 'we are currently getting some injured players back. We've been able to train well this week and recover, that will help us show who we are on Sunday. Eibar will obviously try and play their game and make things difficult for us. The players have shown they can compete and achieve great things and they haven't forgotten that. We are going to stick to our plan, that's what has got us here.'

'We have played 42 games, which is more than some teams play in total. We knew that would be the case though and we can't use it as an excuse. I think the squad is really good, but circumstances have made us miss out on some really important players for a lot of matches. We've barely been able to enjoy Gonalons and that has weakened us. The team has made some incredible sacrifices which go beyond just mere results,' he responded regarding whether tiredness could be affecting the squad.

'We have to compete in two competitions; today we're focusing on La Liga and then we'll move onto Lazio'

The boss finished the press conference with a comment about next Thursday's game in Roma: 'We're in two competitions and we're going to fight to compete in both of them. Today we're focusing on La Liga and then we'll move onto Lazio and show what level we're on.'
