Julen Lopetegui, Sevilla FC manager, gave his pre-match press conference at midday today ahead of tomorrow's league clash against Real Madrid. The manager began by saying that "we're going into it with the understandable excitement about the match we have ahead of us. We want to compete for the three points and we know what our opponents are all about. We have to turn the page quickly on both positive and negative situations".

"We know our opponents, we don't have to find out about them. They're a complete team in all game situations, and also in terms of alternatives, too. It's not a big team that we have to be ready for, but just the next opponent. Real Madrid are always dangerous, and even more so in these situationsThey're a team that have answers for many situations and now that feeds into them to give a good performance. I'm expecting a strong Real Madrid, who will demand the best version of us. For methe most important thing is how we approach the encounter", continued the manager.

"Vaclík will be away from the pitch for a while; Suso will be in the squad"

Bono, Vaclík and Suso

Lopetegui then spoke about Bono and Vaclík before focusing on Suso, who is again an option for the manager: "Bono has done specific training today and we'll look at it tomorrow, but he's trained alone because that's what it was today. Vaclík is injuredhe'll be away from the pitch for a while. When we have more information the club will make it available, but I'm telling you in advance that he's injured. Suso has trained normally the last few dayshe'll be in the squad and he's available. We'll see whether he starts but yes, he's recovered".

The manager was asked about Wednesday's match, but he is fully focused on tomorrow's clash: "I've already spoken about the Chelsea match, we do everything by thinking about winning the match and in managing circumstances day by day. Now we're looking ahead to tomorrow's match".

"We do everything by thinking about winning each match"

To finish, Lopetegui did not hide the fact that he always misses the fans in the stands: "I always miss the Sevillistas, because if there's anything our stadium has, it's that irreplacable backing. We have to give the best of ourselves for their spirit, which will always be there. We won't have that little advantage of having a full house and the extra push that they always give usbut we know they'll be there in another way. We have to give our best for us and for them".
