SEVILLA FC PLAYERS RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL CALL UPS

Up to nine players from the first team squad have been called up to represent their country

The first LaLiga break of the season coincides with the next round of international fixtures, and there is no shortage of Sevilla FC players representing their respective countries. The action for our players gets under way Wednesday 4th September with Bryan Gil, who will be the first of 10 players to play who received a call up to play for their country. This includes Ocampos who unfortunately, due to injury, didn't travel to Argentina.

The Spain U19 squad, which includes Bryan, will play a friendly against Germany at 19.00 Wednesday 4th Septemeber, and then again on Friday 6th September against Japan at 11.00. Moreover, the Spain U21 squad, which includes Pozo and Amo, a Sevilla Atlético player, will play in two qualifying matches for the U21 Euros in 2021. The first match will be in Kazakhstan, on 6th September at 15.00, and the second they will host Montenegro on Tuesday 10th September, at 19.45.  

Vaclík and Bono, the two Sevilla goalkeepers, have been selected to represent Czech Republic and Morocco respectively. The Czech will play in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Saturday 7th September in Kosovo at 15.00, and on Tuesday 10th September at 20.45 in Montenegro. On the other hand, the latest signing for Sevilla, Bono, will play in two friendly games against Burkina Faso and Niger, on 6th and 10th September respectively; with both games kicking off at 21.00.

Two goalkeepers, two defenders, two wingers and three forwards have been selected to play for their national teams

Jesús Navas, with Spain, will have two encounters in the qualifying groups for Euro 2020. Firstly, Spain will travel to play Romania away on Thursday 5th September at 20.45. They will then host the Faroe Islands on Sunday 8th September, again kicking off at 20.45.

Carriço, who is returning to the Portuguese national side after 4 years, will play in two games away from home in qualifying for Euro 2020. They will face off against Serbia on 7th September, and Lithuania on 10th September; both games scheduled for 20.45. 

As for Sevilla's forwards, all three of them have been called up. De Jong will play for the Netherlands on 6th and 9th September against Germany and Estonia; both games kicking off at 20.45 and away from home. Moreover, Munas Dabbur will play for Israel as they host Macedonia on Thursday 5th September and visit Slovenia on Monday 9th September. These games are both scheduled to kick off at 20.45 and are both Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The third striker, Chicharito, the latest inclusion in our strike-force, will play in two friendlies with Mexico. The first will be in the early hours of Saturday morning against United States, at 02.30. The second game will be played in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 11th September, at 04.00 against Argentina.
