FRANCO VÁZQUEZ: “THIS DEFEAT SHOULDN'T TARNISH WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR”

Franco Vázquez spoke honestly when analysing the defeat suffered by Sevilla FC at the hands of Atlético Madrid. Commenting on the first half an hour of the match, he said: "we played well and created several opportunities...However, we made costly mistakes. We already need to start focussing on the next match. When you make mistakes against a team like Atlético, you pay. All the errors we could have made in a match, we made tonight. Each goal was an error on our behalf. We need to put this loss behind us and think about the next one". 

Equally, the player wanted to thank the fans for "their support. We've been playing well and on the right track. This defeat doesn't have to tarnish what we've achieved so far".
