The day has come and, as expected, will be painful. Tomorrow, Éver Banega bids farewell to the cluband the event will be available on SFC TVSFC Radio and the club's official YouTube channel. He leaves on the best of terms. As he said after the UEFA Europa League final in Cologne against Inter, his third triumph in the competition, he stated that "I'm leaving having given it all my all and lifting silverware". He says goodbye after five seasons at the club, two since his arrival in 2014/15 and three since his return in 2017/18. The number 10, who extended his contract after it expired on 30th June, stayed at Sevilla FC to leave as he wanted, with another trophy alongside the two he lifted in Warsaw and Basel

The man from Rosario made 238 appearances for the Blanquirrojosincluding 43 matches this season out of 54 matcheswith nearly 18,000 minutes. He also featured in 125 wins. The midfielder featured 155 times in LaLiga and 25 times in the Copa del Rey, where he reached the final in 2016 and 2018. He also played 57 times in European competitions, with 16 in the UCL, 40 in the UEL and another appearance in the UEFA Super Cup.

The Argentine left Sevilla FC after lifting his third UEFA Europa League trophyadding to the two he won in 2015 and 2016, against Dnipro in Warsaw and against Liverpool in Basel respectively. It's also worth mentioning that Banega has the third most dribbles of any midfielder in the UEFA Europa League since 2008/09. He also featured in the 2015 UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup in 2018.

He has the second-most top-flight appearances of an Argentine Sevilla FC player, and has the sixth-most appearances of a foreigner for the club

Across his two spells as a Nervionense, Éver Banega scored 28 goals and set up 37 goals. His best goalscoring seasons came in 2015/16 and 2017/18, with eight goals. His best season assists-wise came in 2018/19, as he racked up eleven assists. In his final seasonhe matched his assists record, after his decisive assists against AS Roma, Wolves and Inter. The Rosarino has the second-most appearances out of the Argentinian players to have played for Sevilla in the top-flightonly trailing Diéguez (203). He also has the sixth-most appearances in all competitions for a foreign player, just one behind Julien Escudé (239).
