Sevilla FC went down to their first defeat of the 21/22 season yesterday against Granada CF. In all competitions, that's to say, LaLiga and the Champions League, up until yesterday, the Sevilla team had played nine games, including the game against Roberto Moreno's side, which broke a run of eight games with four wins and four draws. At the same and with a game in hand in the league, Sevilla has maintained its position in the Champions League places for next season, keeping itself in fourth place with fourteen points.

Despite the defeat by a goal to nil at the Nuevo Los Cármenes, Sevilla continued with the joint lowest number of goals conceded in LaLiga, together with Villarreal CF, with only three goals conceded from six league games, which is on average less than half a goal a game. The shot from Rubén Rochina caused too much damage to Sevilla but it was the only attempt in the goal game from Granada CF, both on target and off target.

So, the strength of Julen Lopetegui's squad defensively can be said to have been still intact after the visit to Granada, despite the negativity of not having scored after not taking advantage of the good chances to have returned to Sevilla with a different score line from what happened. In all, Sevilla FC have only faced 17 shots at their goalkeeper in six LaLiga games, which is an average of less than two and a half shots per game.
