Munir was presented this Monday in the press room, and the Director of Football, Joaquín Caparrós, was also questioned during the press conference, beginning by speaking about the Morata rumours: 'Morata was a possibility. Sevilla is an attractive club for many players and he was interested in coming here. We initiated contact but when we began to speak about money we didn't take long to realise it was impossible. We are very happy with the two signings, Munir has massive potential and makes things more competitive up front. His agent and Carlos and Paco were key, there were a lot of teams in for him.'

Caparrós made it clear there's still a lot of time to go in the transfer window: 'Our obligation is to be prepared. We can improve the squad, it's not easy, but now we can enjoy these two signings, Munir and Wöber, who we'll speak about tomorrow. Munir is the present and future and I also want to draw attention to Bryan, an academy player with a lot of talent who is destined for great things. We're all very happy today because it was a difficult deal, but it was made easier by the player and his agent's interest in the move. We're happy with the results in the first half of the season, the manager and his coaching team. We have to go step by step and we'll talk about contracts, but for the moment we're focusing on comings and goings.'

Another topic he was asked about was Sarabia and Banega's contract renewals: 'We spoke with the agents recently and they're interested. We want to extend their contracts and I hope it can happen as they're important players. We hope it doesn't take too long because they're players we want.' Furthermore, he stated, 'we have to listen to Mercado because he has given a lot to Sevilla.' To finish, he spoke about the team's troubles away from home: 'The results don't lie. The other teams know us and know how to neutralise us. Machín is a top manager and I'm sure he knows how to deal with this.'
