Sevilla, Andalusia and Spain were represented on Saturday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Saturday as Sevilla FC celebrated their sixth UEFA Europa League with a smallintimate event, due to the pandemic. The first to speak was the city's mayor, Juan Espadas, who acknowledged that he was "privileged to be invited here today. Every time Sevilla competes and has to give its best, it puts the name of the city very high up. There are still many uncertainties, but also certainties such as Sevilla and its cup. You have played magnificently in this competition and even more so seeing the luck that the other Spanish teams have had in Europe. Sevilla is growing, in the face of adversity it is even bigger and it is something to be proud of. The family of Sevilla today is a sporting project, a club with desire and strength and that puts the name of the city on top. This is one more step, Sevilla knows where it wants to go and, having seen what it has seen, it is going to achieve it. Thank you, because in that little point of light, last night we recovered excitement and desire to keep on fighting".

The national authorities were represented by the government's delegate in Andalusia, Sandra García: "We are happy, excited and above all proud to bring Sevilla and Andalusia to the top of Europe. Since that 10th May 2006, Sevilla has maintained the romance that remains intact 14 years later. I would like to congratulate the players, especially their captain. Today, when personal responsibility is more necessary than ever, you have an infinite one before the society. Congratulations also to the technical team, to Julen Lopetegui and Monchi. The fury and the claw can win a match, but to keep a trajectory like Sevilla FC's one, it is necessary to recognise the talent and to promote it. I will finish by talking about a top-level management team captained by Chairman Castro. And with the fans, because the team could hear how you cheered from the halls of the houses and the balconies. I am grateful for the commitment of the fans because they were able to transmit their joy and their celebration without endangering the public health that concerns us so much".

Finally, it was the turn of Juan Manuel Morenothe president of the Junta of Andalusia: "When there is a success, there are many people who participate. It can be circumstantial or structural and there is no doubt that here there is a sporting model of success, which makes this club a reference point, envied throughout the world. We thank the management team, the coaching staff, the players, thank you for making us so proud. Above all, to the fans who wear their colours, in good times and in bad. Now we are in the good times and hopefully it will continue for many years to come. I'm sure of itLast night there were many millions of Andalusians suffering and buzzing. I was with my children watching that well-placed team, those goals and those tears. We are with you and we are enjoying ourselves with you. We are all thinking about the 24th of September. It will be complicated, but you have an autonomous community behind you".
