Our vice president, José María del Nido Carrasco, spoke to the press following a painful defeat in London. "We did not play well, there's no other way to say it. We apologise to the fans, especially the 1,500 that travelled, because we did not get anywhere near the expectations today. Players, coaches and everyone involved with the club are very disappointed with the game this evening. We need to learn from the mistakes, correct them and move forward, because on Sunday we have an extremely important match. But we still have full faith that the coaching staff and the squad can turn this around."

With regards to the Derbi, he made it clear that "from now until Sunday, everyone will work their socks off to give the fans something to cheer about." He revealed that he believes a large part of the problem is psychological. "We've been having poor results for months now, it's not just this season's problem. We need an injection of positivity from somewhere. I think that our biggest problem at the moment is that we, as a club, are in a bad state of mind."

Finally, he emphasised what our president, José Castro, and sporting director, Víctor Orta, said leading up to the game. "We are going to remain patient. We are trying to build a project with Diego Alonso. But of course, we must apologise to the fans for tonight's performance because it was not good enough."
