Sevilla FC Women narrowly beat Granada CF thanks to Martín-Prieto's second-half strike. Cristian Toro's side were the better team for the majority of the game, but struggled in front of goal.

Sevilla FC Women dominated the first half, but could not break the deadlock. Pamela González and Amanda Sampedro had early efforts before Granada also looked to take the lead, but they didn't manage to trouble Sullastres. Sevilla looked to attack through Toni Payne and Martín-Prieto, but the score remained goalless at the break.

The second half saw both sides attempt to hit the front, with subs being introduced to make an impact. Edna Imade came on for the visitors and was by far their most dangerous player. Meanwhile Toro brought Cahynová and Rosa Otermín on to solidify the midfield and add fresh legs to the wing respectively.

A clean sheet and an important win at the Estadio Jesús Navas

Just past the hour mark, Martín-Prieto broke the deadlock with a spectacular solo goal. Following great work on the left wing, she cut in and unleashed a powerful shot into the top-right corner. No chance for Granada keeper Sandra Torres. A moment of magic for Sevilla FC Women proved the only goal of the game as Esther Sullastres managed to keep a clean sheet.

A win gives Sevilla a little bit of breathing space from the relegation zone as they prepare for a trip to face Real Sociedad. The match will kick off at 16:00 CET on the 18th of November.
