Jesús Galván's first home game as Sevilla Atlético coach resulted in a comfortable victory against CD Manchego - the fourth consecutive victory at the Estadio Jesús Navas. It was the fourth clean sheet kept at home this season and means that our reserve side maintain second position in group four of the Segunda RFEF.

In front of the 700 fans in attendance despite the poor weather, Galván's side were the better team from the very first minute. Pressing high up the pitch, Isaac had an early chance having stolen the ball from Martín Ross, but his attempt was tipped away for a corner by Manchego goalkeeper Nacho Córdoba. Sevilla Atlético continued to put pressure on the visitors. Oso's teasing ball from from the left wing caused problems for the Manchego defence, but neither Musa nor Isaac could capitalise.

Isaac gave the reserves a two-goal cushion just before the break

With Manchego firmly on the back foot, Sevilla Atlético finally had something to show for their dominance when Manchego defender Carlos Jiménez turned a corner into his own net. Ten minutes later, just before half time, the reserves scored a second. Isaac finished Musa's fantastic individual move with a powerful left-footed strike that beat the helpless Córdoba, giving Sevilla Atlético no less than they deserved.

In the second half, Galván's side picked up from where they left off, looking to put the game to bed. Capi came close to finding a third when his shot from the edge of the area crashed into the woodwork. The visitors did find a response as they searched for a way back into the game. Their best chance fell to Ale Hernández, but his point-blank effort was impressively kept out by Alberto Flores. On the hour mark, Zarzana put the result beyond doubt. His intended cross from the right was missed by everyone, including the goalkeeper, and ended up in the back of the Manchego net via the post.

Ibra came off the bench after 72 minutes to make his Sevilla Atlético debut and came very close to marking this occasion with a goal. His shot seemed to be heading in until Nacho Córdoba just about managed to prevent the ball from crossing the line. This was a great performance by the reserves and it continues the fine form at the Estadio Jesús Navas. Four games, four wins, four clean sheets. Next up is a trip down to the Costa del Sol to face CD Estepona at 12:00 CET the coming Sunday.
