Sevilla FC Women were beaten 8-0 on Sunday by a strong FC Barcelona side. Cristian Toro's side found themselves on the back foot early on in the game and could not prevent Barcelona from running riot.

The home side took charge from the beginning, the first goal arriving little after five minutes of play. Salma Paralluelo scored her first of the game to put Barcelona ahead, converting from a pin-point cross. Ten minutes later, Parlluelo had her second, putting daylight between the sides. However Sevilla FC Women were not ready to give up yet and looked for a way back into the game, but Martín-Prieto could not convert their best chance of the half. Paralluelo then scored two more to put the result beyond doubt before half time.

The second half saw more one way traffic as Mariona scored twice to increase the advantage. Just before the hour mark, Graham Hansen added Barcelona's seventh. This was a long afternoon for the away side, but despite being seven down, they kept searching for a consolation goal. Unfortunately it never came and the home side rounded off the victory with their eighth goal coming in added time, thanks to an accurate header from Marta Torrejón.

It was a heavy defeat for Sevilla FC Women, who stay in 12th position of Liga F with six points. Next weekend sees an important game for Cristian Toro's side, home against Granada CF Women, who also lost this weekend - 1-0 against FC Levante Las Planas. The match against Granada kicks off at 12:00 CET at the Estadio Jesús Navas on Sunday the 12th of November.
