Tomas Vaclík was interviewed this Wednesday in the training village's press room. After returning to training, the Czech spoke about his return to the pitch: 'I'm very happy after many weeks out with injury. I've had my first session back with my teammates and I'm happy. I'm a bit tired because it was a tough session with the fitness and goalkeeping coach. We have to work hard but we're feeling good.' The goalkeeper has not ruled out him starting on Saturday: 'It's the manager's decision. I have a bit more time to train and then the manager will decide.'

He did not wish to assess the change in manager as he has not been able to experience the changes: 'It's difficult because I've been out since Machín left. It's hard for me to assess the change.' What he is clear about however is Saturday's importance: 'The derby is always important and our goal is to qualify for the Champions League. We have to win and we can do so at home in front of our fans. It's always a massive game. We have seven finals to go, seven games in which we need all of the three points. This game is even more important and we're feeling good after the previous wins. We're ready and we're going for the win.'

Regarding Caparrós, he admitted his personal situation is an extra incentive to fight: 'It's tough and for me unexpected. I came home and saw it on Twitter. It's difficult for him but we're with him and we're going to try and make him happy by winning the derby. It's an extra incentive.' He stated he had total confidence in Juan Soriano: 'I know how he works in training and during games. If he starts on Saturday, I and the whole dressing room will be behind him.' Finally, he spoke about Betis' game: 'They like to have the ball and play out from the back with the goalkeeper. They have good players.'
