Suso was in a good mood as he was officially presented as a Sevilla FC player after completing his loan move on Wednesday: "I really wanted this to happen. Everyone made an effort and now I'm here, it's what I wanted and my family wanted it too. We're all very happy. Since I was 16 I've been away, so for them it was important that I returned home. It's a happiness we haven't had until now".

It is a return home for which he feels prepared, and he is ready to fight for the shirt: "I've come here as I'm feeling good, I think the circumstances were perfect. I'm at a very big club with a manager who knows me inside-out. It's the perfect moment. I feel good, I've been playing every match for practically four years. I'm at the manager's service, I haven't played much the last three weeks so I feel in good shape".

Suso is ready to help out Sevilla FC, and a manager who knows him well: "Here there are very good players, like with all big clubs, and I'm here to help out and try to improve the club. Making the team more competitive so that it's easier to achieve our aims. If there's a manager who knows me well, it's him".

He also said his priority is Sevilla FC and not selection for EURO 2020: "Going there is not the most important thing, the club comes first. If the club does well and achieves its aims, then that can come later".

Finally, he made no excuses about yesterday's loss in Anduva: "We had to win the match, it's a dark day, we had to go through. I always say these matches are the worst, if you start badly against teams like them, it's harder. It's over, and there's another match on Sunday".
