0-2: THE YOUTH TEAM BUCKLE IN THE LAST SIXTEEN OF THE CUP AGAINST BETIS

The final parts of the first half and the start of the second proved damaging despite dominating a large majority of the game but the team were not clinical enough

Sevilla FC youth team suffered defeat in the last sixteen of the cup against Betis (0-2). Lolo Rosano's boys weren't able to put away any of the many opportunities they conjured up against tough opponents that took full advantage of the home side's mistakes. Sevilla FC youth were the far better side in the first half having made clear-cut chances through Hormigo and Alexandro, but in the late stages of the first half the opponents profited from a set-piece to put them in the lead from a rebounded effort.

Betis extended their lead early in the second half but that didn't stop our boys from pushing. Darío went close on the hour mark but couldn't find the back of the net. The late stages of the game were no different, although the scoreline reflected differently, Betis remained sturdy and saw themselves through to the next round. Rosano's boys next have a league affair against Córdoba after their UEFA Youth League tie with Scottish side, Rangers.
