Sunday's win against Real Valladolid on the thirteenth match day of the season has left Sevilla with some interesting stats. In addition to being top with a third of the season gone, our win thanks to André Silva's goal leaves us as the only team in the league to have picked up at least two points from every three available. 26 points from 39, eight wins, three defeats and two draws to put us top of La Liga.

Furthermore, Pablo Machín's men have also set another record with their moving into first place in the league: Not since 2006/07 have they been first this far in the league. In that season they were in first place on the 25th match day. In the current season, it is the third time that Sevilla have lead the league, the first after the very first game of the season, the 4-1 win in Vallecas, and then on the eighth match day with the 2-1 over Celta Vigo in the Sánchez-Pizjuán before the second international break.

Of the 25 official games played, Sevilla have won 17, drawing three and only losing five, which gives them a very impressive unbeaten stat: They have only been beaten in 20% of their games this season. Likewise, they have kept eleven clean sheets and are the highest scoring team in the Europa League (15) and the second highest in La Liga (25), only behind Barcelona (35).
