Sevilla FC's win yesterday evening against RCD Espanyol, as well as leaving the Sevilla team and the fans happy by taking them second in the table ahead of the international break, produced a statistic that has not been recorded for almost a year in La Liga by the team from Nervión. For almost 365 days, which would have been reached on 26 November, Sevilla had not turned a game around and managed to get the victory after falling behind in the score just as it happened yesterday with Borja Iglesias' goal in the first half.

Last season, with Berizzo in the dugout, Sevilla managed to turn the game around against Villareal in Castellón, after falling behind 2-0 to goals from Bakambu and Bacca. It was Lenglet, Franco Vázquez and Banega from the penalty spot that sealed the win for Sevilla at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Just the week before that game, the team had completed another comeback, this time at the Sánchez-Pizjuán against Celta de Vigo, where Muriel and Nolito turned the score around in their favour after Maxi Gómez's goal.

At the Wanda Metropolitano, in the first leg of the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey in January, the team, lead by Montella at the time, won the game with goals from Jesús Navas and Correa after Diego Costa had put the hosts in front.
