Sevilla FC's centre-back, Sergi Gómez, gave a press conference this afternoon at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios where he responded to questions related to the present and future of the team, such as the visit to El Alcoraz this Saturday: 'We know what the game against Huesca means. We haven't got the results we want away from home in recent games and we want this to be a turning point.'

'I think that many things happen in an entire season. We had a drop in September and then we went on the lead the league. We've had some tough matches recently but we know we have a large and talented squad to turn the situation around. There are many factors which have caused us to drop down in form in the last matches: injuries, fatigue and so on. We started at a very high level, now we're not going through the best moment but we are clear in what the game against Huesca means for our chances to get back to where we want to be,' explained the Catalan regarding Sevilla FC's differing form this season.

Sergi Gómez also went over the team's system and spoke of the confidence the squad has in the manager: 'The majority of us have played in all types of systems and it's nothing new for us. Against Barcelona, we changed the system and we played well. It's an alternative for other matches. When everything is going well people don't say anything and then as soon as there are some bad results they start to talk. We are with the manager and his way of working to the death. We are clear in what he wants and there are some games in which it is not solely down to the system but also the opponent. We have never had any doubts.'

Finally, the centre-back spoke about the importance of your mentality for arriving at the end of the season with the chance to achieve your objectives: 'Everything is down to your head. We know there are thirteen finals left in La Liga and we know just how important the Europa League tie is. We are going to be tired but if we are mentally strong we will do it. There are many factors which you can't control such as injuries. We have to be careful with each player's workload but sometimes that's not possible.'
