Roque Mesa, Sevilla FC's midfielder, was the guest on this Tuesday's 'A Balón Parado' where he went over the team's current situation: 'The reality is that away from home we aren't able to find the way to turn the situation around, Huesca was another game in which we could not turn it around. We're annoyed just like everyone else... And you can tell, obviously you can tell, we are the first to be affected and the first to want to turn this situation around and it's annoying when you see you can't.'

'We knew that there would be difficult moments. We are very united in the dressing room.'

The Canarian talked in depth about the dressing room: 'I think it's a question of form. If you look at the outlook of the whole season, you see that it's not so bad. At the start, we didn't expect things to go so well but we were confident in keeping it up. We always knew this could happen however, that difficult moments would arrive and we wouldn't be able to get the results we wanted. Within the dressing room, we know we have to be united and we are. Being together is the most important thing. Away from home we are not playing at the level expected of us and we know we have to give more and keep believing, that's important.'

'Success will come when we manage to get out of this run'

Roque continued talking about what Sevilla means and what it means to be at the club: 'We are in a bad run. I understand how demanding this club is and its history. When you sign here, a lot is asked of you - that includes finishing as high as possible in La Liga and winning the Europa League. But that's football and sometimes things don't go for you and that's when you have to come together. Success will come when we manage to get out of this run.'

The Canarian finished up by talking about the upcoming Europa League tie: 'We are full of respect for Slavia Prague but obviously, we're excited, how couldn't we be. We are going to try and win on Thursday.' Furthermore, Mesa said he wanted to study psychology and made an interesting point: 'I think the mental side is 99% of sport. Your head is the most important. Everyone has their own way of doing things, but the best way is to try and isolate yourself from everything: the good and the bad because the good can also weaken you.
