FC SALZBURG NARROWLY BEAT HARTBERG TO GO TOP OF THE AUSTRIAN BUNDESLIGA

Wolfsburg and LOSC Lille also won their matches in their respective leagues

FC Salzburg, Sevilla FC's first opponent in the UEFA Champions League, narrowly beat Hartberg in the Austrian league. Matthias Jaissle's team made it six wins out of six league games, making them the league leaders with an eight point advantage.

Following a strong start to the season also with two wins from the first two league games, Wolfsburg went home with the three points after beating RB Leipzig. The three points take them to the top of the Bundesliga, two points in front of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen.

LOSC Lille also won their match against Montpellier in Ligue 1. Goals from Yazici and Jonathan David helped the reigning French champions to climb up the league table and chase down their opponents following their first victory of the 2021/22 season.
