SEVILLA FC WILL PAY TRIBUTE TO SEVILLA'S NEIGHBOURHOODS WITH EACH SIGNING THIS SEASON

Sevilla and Sevilla FC go together, and the tie goes deeper than just sharing the same name. The DNA of the city has always been present within the club, and now more than ever. As the club wishes to promote itself on an international level, the idea is that Sevilla, as a Champions League city, is more known throughout the world via its football. The clear message of We Are Sevilla, a common hashtag on the club's social networks, or the club's new visual identity clearly demonstrate the strong ties that the club has with its city.

A city, of course, is made up of its neighbourhoods. So, this season, every signing that Sevilla FC make will help to pay tribute to one of the neighbourhoods in the city. The first player to take up this role is Ivan Rakitic, and choosing a neighbourhood for him was an easy decision. Pino Montano, in the north of the city, the city that the Croatian international considers his home, features in the video.

In fact, it is where his wife's family hails from, the main reason why the midfielder is basically another Sevillano, and why he has adapted perfectly to the city's traditions and rites. The video shows key parts of the neighbourhood, such as the parish of San Isidro Labrador, the Pablo Blanco Sevilla FC Supporters Club, its main streets and the Los Mares Sports Centre, a footballing hotspot in that neighbourhood.
