“We had to work well in attack in the second half without taking shortcuts”

Julen Lopetegui spoke to Official Media after the win at the Benito Villamarín: "We're very happy with the result because we got the win against a good side, especially when you consider what these matches are like. I'm very happy with the team's character and their performance and we had to work well in attack in the second half without taking shortcuts".

"I'd like to thank the fans for the support they give us. We're very pleased to be sending them home happy. It makes sense for that type of atmosphere to be there after two derbies without fans. We work hard to make the Sevillistas happy", he continued.

Lopetegui finished by stating that "now we have to recover well, we've got lots of injuries. Let's hope that those on international duty come back in good shape".
