Rekik was first up and showed his disappointment with the draw: 'I think we had to win that game. We had a lot of possession. Elche defended well and there wasn't a lot of spaces for us to get into. We wanted to win and we're disappointed with the draw".

"We wanted to win, we're disappointed with the draw"

On a personal level, the defender stated that he feels comfortable with his teammates: "I'm always readyI always train hard. I feel good with the team and the player, we have good chemistry". He also lamented the fact that the team could not find a winner: "That's why the draw is disappointing. Sometimes you don't deserve the win, but I think that today we should have won the match". However, the Dutchman is now focusing on the next clash: "We'll have to move onwe have another match in two weeks".

On the day of his 100th appearance for Sevilla FC, Joan Jordán analysed the draw: "We needed to be a bit more solid, like not giving away fouls in situations where they're actually really good. We knew that they're a strong team, especially in the air. We lost focus at a throw in, and they score their goal. In terms of the defence I feel 50/50, we gave away few chances but they punished us. That can't happen because we defend really well, we're really solid. If we had kept a clean sheet today the three points would have been ours".

"We gave away few chances but they punished us"

He was positive about the team's response after going 1-0 down: "I think we played quite well, we got the draw, there was a spell where they didn't really leave their half. Youssef got his goal and we gave it our all in the second half. We had Rafa's chance which went over. It wasn't to bewe need to keep workingbut I think we're on the right path. The transfer window is closing soon and we'll have our full squad. We have two weeks to prepare for Barcelona and I'm sure that the team will improve".

Jordán also thanked the travelling support: "We thank the fans for coming to support us. When our fans are with us, home or away, we really notice it, before, during and after the game. We thank them for sticking with us, they're so important". He was proud to reach a century of appearances for the club: "It's a dream and an honour for me to play 100 games in all competitions for this club. They're such a big club in Europe. When I came here I knew it was a big step in my career. To play 100 games in this shirt and for this club is an honour for me. I work hard to improve on that number, and I hope great things and many more matches are around the corner".

The final player to speak was the goalscorer, Youssef En-Nesyri: "We lacked a bit of focus but I'm proud of the team. I thank them and the coaching staff. We lacked a bit of focus to get the second goal. At the end of the day, I'm the one who has to be focused when the ball comes to me".

It was a physical match for the Moroccan striker: "It was a tough game, we will keep working on what we need to improve". In fact, as he scored, he was appealing for a penalty before celebrating: "I actually didn't see if it went in, I appealed for a penalty as I'd been pushed, but my teammates came running over in celebration and I got up". To finish, he spoke highly about Rafa Mir's presence on the pitch: "He's a good player, he plays well too. Hopefully he can help us improve".
