Papu Gómez, Rafa Mir and Munir El Haddad offered their thoughts after the win against Elche CF in Nervión. On the return to winning ways for Sevilla, it was the man who broke the deadlock who spoke first, Papu: "The run of games helps me to feel important. The coach also gives me confidence and this makes me happy. The goal... it was spectacular movement from Acuña and I could cut back inside. I scored and it opened up the game. We came into it looking for the win and not to drop points but the team was always competitive and at home we can't fail. The support of our fans is crucial and we noted this before the game and then when the Sánchez-Pizjuán is full we know that it can take a step further. For Thursday we have to try to recover quickly, we want to arrive in the best shape possible and look to get a good result."

In turn, Rafa Mir who came off the bench, said that "the team played well. We dominated the game and we played good football. We tried to score throughout the game and the three points remained at home. We all worked and the work paid off. My finish was good, well taken and it was a goal which was the important thing. We know the history that Sevilla have in the Europa League and we will see where we can reach."

To close it was Munir, another one of those who came on from the bench, who offered his thoughts: "We created a lot from the first half but in the second half we didn't fade and the team gave everything. The supporter of our fans is crucial because they give us that push to continue believing and this has shown at home. This is very difficult. We go from game to game. We have to think ahead to the next one and trust ourselves. We have had new players and we have a very big squad. An excellent group that is prepared when the coach needs it. Now we are all hungry for the UEFA Europa League and we have to show that on Thursday."
