"We had chances to widen the scoreline"

Sevilla FC boss, Julen Lopetegui, was seen to be a very satisfied man by the end of the game against Real Betis in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán: "It's three well-deserved points. Our great performance in the first half made the difference, we could've even widened the scoreline. In the second half they pressed us, had some chances and had some quick players on the pitch. We are very happy for the fans because we were able to give them this joy and they made the team fly. They implore a certain energy that is difficult to put into words."

"It was madness on the way to the stadium, they gave us everything they had. That type of energy spurs us on. For example, Diego Carlos, who was struggling with some niggles, was able to play 45 magnificent minutes and other players went into every challenge no matter the outcome. Diego managed just to make it to half time and made a huge effort despite it being complicated to carry on. We will soon know about the other players that had to go off," added Lopetegui.

In closing, the Sevilla coach pointed out that "we came out determined to win the game, although we struggled to score the first goal. Fortunately, we scored and if we hadn't things can start to get complicated. A well-deserved victory."
