FLOWERS LAID FOR THE VIRGEN DE LOS REYES IN ANNUAL CEREMONY TO MARK NEW SEASON

Sevilla FC carried out the annual tradition of laying a floral arrangement as an offering to the Virgen de los Reyes at Seville Cathedral. The ceremony, attended by the first team as well as the coaching staff and board of directors, coincided with the yearly tribute in memory of Antonio Puerta at the training ground.

The service was officiated by Sevilla FC Chaplain, Father Indalecio Humanes, who once again expressed his affection for the team and gave his best wishes for the new season. The laying of the wreath was conducted by the two club captains, Jesús Navas and Ivan Rakitic, as well as coach José Luis Mendilibar and the president, José Castro, who spoke to the press afterwards. Once proceedings concluded in the cathedral, the group walked directly to Robles' nearby Placentines restaurant, where they enjoyed the annual meal that follows the traditional ceremony.
