"I enjoyed a final with Sevilla FC, which was what I wanted, and we won it"

Lucas Ocampos was over the moon after the UEFA Europa League Final win over Inter: "It was worth suffering and playing through the pain, treating myself this week with the physio's who have done an impressive job... I enjoyed a final with Sevilla FC, which was what I wanted, and we won it, my team won by playing an impressive game. Many things have gone through my mind, I had two injuries in my career and just in the last week, the most important of my career... I gave all I could, I played with pain until my legs said enough".

He praised the team: "The mentality of the group, this club... Today it was clear, we played against a historic team, one of the strongest I've ever faced, and here's all the work we've done over the year". A victory that he wanted to dedicate to "my wife, my daughters, who are there in good times and bad... To my family in Argentina, to my dad, who this week lost his mother, my grandmother... A hug to the soul of my old man who had a hard time and who today will have celebrated a little".

Ocampos wanted to extend this dedication to "all the people of Sevilla FC and to all the people who lost a loved one to this pandemic. If any Sevillista who followed the match had a hard time, this medal is also for them".
