The coach didn't want to talk about two players who are already at the Sports Village ready to sign - he wanted all focus to be on tomorrow's match

Having just dipped his toes in the January transfer market and still with the bitter taste of a draw against Getafe, Vincenzo Montella spoke to the media this Tuesday to speak about the Copa del Rey semi-finals, which will see Sevilla travel to face Leganés tomorrow: "It's an open tie. We'll play 180 minutes and they are a great side who were able to win at the Bernabéu. They've shown confidence, temperament and quality".

Still only a matter of hours after a disappointing draw against Getafe, the Italian coach made an analysis of what had happened: "The feeling we had yesterday was difficult, we slept badly but we also analysed everything. It gives us the energy to take chances with more confidence. About the goal, anyone can make a mistake. Maybe it was a foul but we also should have finished off the match before they had that chance".

After two such intense matches to get to the semi-finals, the boss was clear that his side wouldn't let their levels drop for tomorrow: "I'm convinced that won't happen because on Sunday the team gave their response in their temperament after two difficult matches against Atlético despite such a physical charge. We'll show that attitude on the field tomorrow".

"On Sunday the team showed their temperament and I'm convinced we'll see the same tomorrow"

There are two new arrivals that look to add to the team, but Montella prefers to be loyal to his current side and practice caution: "Once in Fiorentina we had a player arrive in the city and he didn't end up signing. I prefer not to comment until I have seen the individual training here at the Sports Village". With regards to exits, Pizarro's decision has been placed into the player's hands: "We like Guido's skill, he is a player that, at the moment, doesn't have enough space and will inevitably have his own aspirations. He will have to decide for himself what it is that he wants".

After referring to Sandro Ramírez as "an interesting player", the signing of Layún ruled out any controversy: "Any player, if given the option, will come to Sevilla because it provides the opportunity to play in Europe". Bringing the press conference to a close, the manager insisted that the team needs to focus solely on the Léganes match: "The Club, the manager...All of us need to think only about tomorrow. We are mentally preparing because it's something that is vital. Léganes is a team that alternates certain tactics during games, they are dangerous, compact, and have grown enormously under their coach who has been with them for a long time".
