The original ceremony was scheduled for the 13 Mach 2020, only a day before the declaration of a state of alarm in Spain, which logically forced its postponement. Now 20 months later the 2020 and 2021 editions of the awards have been celebrated. The sporting director Monchi was able to receive his distinction which was also awarded to the singers Lorena Gómez and Georgina León, as well as the Real Betis footballer Sergio Canales, the Olympic canoeist Javier Hernanz, the cellist Irene Rouco and the actors Ramón Langa and Jesús Carroza. The 2021 winners were the journalists Carlota Corredera, Matías Prats and Roberto Brasero, the artist Nerea Garmendia and the singer Paco Candela.

In attendance at the ceremony was the president of parliament Marta Bosquet; Federico Mayor Zaragoza, president of honour of the School of Culture and Peace; its principal sponsors, Irene Villa y Vicente del Bosque; as well as its co-founder and president Santiago Agüero and Trinidad Lorenzo, respectively.
