MONCHI: "OVER THE TWO LEGS THEY WERE THE BETTER SIDE"

Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, Monchi, spoke to the media after Sevilla FC were eliminated from Europe in London: "When you are knocked out it's hard to take, it's difficult. A sad night for the players, the club, for the fans... Over the two legs they were the better side, maybe not too much, but they scored two goals here and we have to take it with pinch of salt."

"We ended up having two reserve team players out there, but this doesn't excuse anything. It's affected us that we have players injured, it's what has got to us this year and evidently it has had a long-term effect. It's going to be a long night, difficult to digest, but tomorrow we turn the page and try to bring players back because I don't know how they've managed to finish the game. We have a crucial game on Sunday in the league and we have to try and finish in the Champions League spots."
