MINUTES SHARED OUT EVENLY SO FAR

Playing time has been shared out among the squad in the first ten official games of Sevilla's season, with almost every player getting minutes on the pitch.

September is here and with it the usual break from club football due to international fixtures. Unusually, Sevilla have already played ten official matches heading into the international break: six of those corresponding to the three play-off rounds of the Europa League, three league fixtures and the final of the Spanish Supercup against FC Barcelona. An unusual number of minutes so early in the season, with Pablo Machín having to share them out among his squad, in accordance with the stage in the season.

In goal Vaclík has been a virtually constant presence, playing nine out of the ten matches, with Sergio Rico just playing the return leg against Ujpest in Hungary. Juan Soriano replaced Rico after the latter left for Fulham in England, but is yet to feature on the pitch.

In defence, Aleix Vidal and Sergi Gómez have had the greatest presence, playing in eight matches, with Sergi Gómez playing the full game in seven of his matches. They are followed by Navas, Escudero and Arana, who have played in six encounters. Carriço and Mercado, with five appearances, are the two centre-backs who most frequently accompany Gómez in a hypothetical eleven in these games, Kjaer and Gnagnon are not far behind having played four matches. The list ends with Berrocal, who has played in three matches, and Corchia and Pareja with one match each, both of whom have already left the side.

Cuerpo Inferior

Vaclík, Banega and Sarabia (9 appearances) and Aleix Vidal and Sergi Gómez (8 appearances), are the players who have featured most regularly in the first few official games.

Playing time has been shared out even more in midfield, where Sarabia and Banega have nine appearances out of a possible ten. Franco Vázquez and Roque Mesa follow closely behind with seven matches, also followed by Nolito with six matches. Despite his later arrival, Gonalons has featured in four matches for Machín, the same amount as Amadou, who was injured in the match against Olomouc. The academy graduate Pejiño closes this list with three appearances.

In the forward line, Muriel and Ben Yedder have had seven appearances each, just one more than André Silva, who despite his late arrival has already played in six official matches. Sevilla's most recent signing, Quincy Promes, who arrived last week, has already picked up minutes in the Betis game. Borja Lasso and Ganso have also accumulated minutes in attack.
