In front of their home crowd, Sevilla Atlético claimed three points. In the first match of the year, Sevilla Atletico just about overcame Juventud de Torremolinos in a fight for survival from the Segunda RFEF Group 4. Owing to the debut goal from Isra Domínguez, the reserves were victorious in a clash that saw them reduced to ten men after Isaac Romero was sent off.

The game started evenly between the two sides, however as the first half progressed the reserves began to dominate possession and opportunities were created. Halfway through the first half, Isra Domínguez, on his debut for the side, scored in front of his new fans in a good counter-attack.

Isra Domínguez came close to putting the side further in front with a volley that rocketed off of the woodwork, following a great pass by Isaac. Just before the first half came to a close, Johansson tried his luck with a shot that the opposition goalkeeper did well to keep from going over the line. The first forty-five minutes came to a close with the reserves holding a slight advantage, and having hardly been breached defensively.

Isaac Romero was sent off for being shown two yellow cards

In the second half, goalkeeper Alberto Flores kept the reserves in front with a good save from Naranjo. Following a corner kick, the visitors were presented with their best opportunity of the game, but Machuca's shot was wide. The game became an uphill battle for the reserves following the sending off of Isaac Romero, having received his second yellow card. Down to ten men, the reserves dropped back to deal with the waves of attack now coming from the visitors.

The reserves though did not stop searching for a second goal. Musa DRJ headed powerfully from an Isra Domínguez cross from the left-hand side of the pitch, forcing the opposition goalkeeper into making a save, after which the full time whistle was blown. After an exhausting match, the reserves managed to claim the three points in front of the home crowd before travelling to Mancha Real.
