LUUK DE JONG RECEIVES THE AWARD FOR 'TOP GOALSCORER' IN THE EREDIVISIE 18/19

The Sevilla forward also won the award for the second best player in the league last season, behind De Ligt

The Dutch striker who now plays for Sevilla FC, Luuk de Jong, on Monday night was given the award for the 'Top Goalscorer' in the Eredivisie last season (2018/19). Sevilla's new frontman scored 28 goals in the Dutch league last season while playing for PSV Eindhoven.

In addition, De Jong also received the prize for being the second best player in the Eredivise last season, losing out only to the new Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt. Dusan Tadic was voted as the third best player.

De Jong will now turn his attentions to the Dutch national team as they will play in two Euro 2020 qualifiers. The Netherlands will have two away matches as they will take on Germany and Estonia, on 6th and 9th September respectively.
