'When the games are so tight, clean sheets are key'

Sevilla FC coach Julen Lopetegui was satisfied following the team's victory against Valencia CF. He began by saying 'the overall view is positive after a complicated match against a safe Valencia and their good players. We did our work well, we didn't try and rush things as we played with patience and possession.'

'How clinical you are is decisive. Against Athletic we had clear-cut chances in the first half. Today was a different game in which we had that clinical streak in the second half,' he continued.

Lopetegui finished by noting 'when the games are so tight, clean sheets are very important and we managed one today. In past games we have conceded in the final minutes in different ways, risking it all against Athletic and having incredibly bad luck against Real Madrid. Football is unpredictable and today we were able to defend our well-earned goal.'
