A disagreement between the Danish Footballers' Association and the Federation has resulted in the team not playing their friendly against Slovakia or making their debut in the Nations League against Wales

In addition to Gabriel Mercado missing out with his injury, Sevilla's amount of internationals has taken another hit with Simon Kjaer. In this case, however, it is not a case of the footballer himself not going; rather, all of the Danish players called up will not be going as Denmark will not play in this international break.

A disagreement between the Danish Footballers' Association and the Federation has resulted in both games being suspended, the friendly against Slovakia in Trnava next Wednesday, as well as the Nations League game in Aarhus against Wales.
