Joaquín Correa has had a very convincing start to 2018 and has fast become a go-to option for Vincenzo Montella. The Argentine is showing the form which lit-up the second-half of the 16/17 season and his rebirth has had a notable impact on the side's results - especially in the Copa del Rey where he has now scored five, just one less than Real Murcia's Curto, who managed six by the round of 32.

He netted in both matches against Cartagena, then again against Cádiz before finding a monumentally important winner against Atlético Madrid in the Wanda Metropolitano. This Wednesday he scored again against Leganés in the semi-final, sweeping in a loose ball in the 14th minute after a magical bit of play from Luis Muriel.

With three months of football still ahead of him and clear faith from Montella, Correa now has the chance to solidify himself even more and even challenge for a spot in Jorge Sampaoli's World Cup squad come June 2018.
