Joan Jordán spoke to the press after Sevilla FC drew 1-1 at the Mestalla: "It really is a bittersweet point. I think we were the better side and deserved to win. We knew we had to kill the match off, we knew Valencia had options. I think they barely threatened us in their own stadium. It was a game of strategies and they managed to draw. We did a great job, I think we dominated most of the game. We should have killed them off but we couldn't. We've got another game coming up soon".

The team needed better moves in the final third to kill the match off, after "a tough first half for us, they defended well and closed off the channels. It was tough to break them down. When we have found space all match with Jules and Jesús, I thought we had done the damage, and then they scored". We feel good about our performances, and we have to continue on Saturday, it's another cup final".

"It's clear it could have been an important day. We take each game as it comes. We are excited for when Saturday comes. We are keen to play at home and give it our all". Finally, he spoke about the praise which Celades, Valencia's manager, had reserved for Lopetegui: "everyone knows how good our manager is. We are all very happy that he's our manager, it's a pleasure. We need to keep learning from him".
