HOMAGE TO PEDRO BERRUEZO AT GATE 10 BECOMING A REALITY

Construction has begun on a mural that will pay tribute to Pedro Berruezo at the entrance of Gate 10 of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. As tragically happened to Antonio Puerta twelve years ago, whose face is immortalised at Gate 16, Berruezo also tragically died during a match in Pontevedra in 1973. It was unanimously agreed that he too should have a point of tribute on the exterior of the stadium.

The Gate will match the iconic number 10 he wore on the back of his shirt. Works should finish before the end of the year.
