It has not been a good international break for the European champions who have begun the journey to reclaim their trophy with two draws at home. After the draw against Ukraine last Friday, Portugal have drawn once more, this time 1-1 against Serbia on Monday night in Lisbon. Unlike the match against Ukraine, André Silva did not start this match. He had to wait until the 57th minute to get onto the pitch, coming on for Dyego Sousa.

By that stage, the Portuguese had managed to equalise through Danilo Pereira, after Tadic put the Serbs ahead early on from the spot. Now, only Mercado, Jesús Navas, Sergi Gómez and Simon Kjaer remain with the national teams, after Wöber, Rog, Promes and André Silva have been released and will now return to Sevilla to prepare for Valencia CF's visit on Sunday. On Tuesday, Argentina play Morocco at 20:00 and Spain play Malta at 20:45.

In other news, Aleix Vidal played in the friendly between Catalonia and Venezuela (2-1) played at the Montilivi Stadium in Girona. The wing-back started and was substituted for Puado in the 64th minute.
